Collection: American Ginseng Slice

Morphology of American Ginseng Slices

1.     Shape: Usually thin and flat, round or oval, sometimes with slightly irregular edges depending on the original root shape.

2.     Thickness: Generally 1–3 mm, uniform slices suitable for brewing tea or cooking in soups.

3.     Color: Light yellow to creamy white, with an even and slightly glossy appearance after drying.

4.     Texture/Pattern: Clear concentric ring patterns or radiating lines visible on the cut surface, reflecting the growth rings of the root.

5.     Consistency: Hard and brittle when dry, softens upon soaking, making it easy to chew or extract active components.
